5.1.1 TITLE: Warehouse Specialist


5.1.2 JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

- The Warehouse Specialist’s job is to ensure that all product processed in the warehouse is completed according to the Operations Manual of Prime Time Leasing.  All duties must be done in an efficient and safe manner.   Keeping a clean and orderly flow of work thru the warehouse and staging of jobs for the next day’s work is essential to the success of this position.   Cleaning and repairing of the product are also paramount in safe guarding the assets of the company and keeping them utilized as long as possible.  Attention to detail is imperative in this position for what separates us from our competitors is our superior quality and this position is responsible for maintaining the product to meet these high quality standards.  Pulling furniture and housewares and loading and unloading of trucks. Provide assistance as a helper on the truck to perform installation and pickup of furniture.

5.1.3 REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

-    The Warehouse Specialist reports directly to the Operations Manager

5.1.4 REQUIREMENTS:

1. Education:
Required: Some High School
Preferred: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree

2. Experience:
Required: Knowledge of Furniture products and operational procedures
Preferred: 2 years experience in warehouse operations
 

3. Skills: Able to perform arithmetic calculations.
Able assemble furniture with hands.
Good communication skills, written and verbal

4. Physical: 
Able to organize the loading of truck and delivery of those goods
Able to lift 75 lbs and manage furniture delivery personnel
Able to work in a non-climate controlled environment year round
Able to move furniture in warehouse

5.   Mental: Able to read, write and understand English
Able to understand and give instructions





5.1.10 DUTIES AND TASKS:

- Clean and Process all furniture returned from lease according to cleaning procedure manual
- Repair furniture as needed.
- Unload trucks after pickups and pre-load truck for following day deliveries.
- Check furniture in and out using a scanner.
- Help to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the warehouse.
- Use proper furniture carrying techniques to prevent damage to furniture and residence.
- As needed, properly document the delivery/pickup including items that will require further attention or follow up.  Notify home office of challenges and customer requests during delivery or pickup of furniture.
- If needed, install and pickup housewares as a Driver’s Helper.  Including setting up kitchen items, bathrooms, and bedrooms.
- If needed, install and pickup furniture as a Driver’s Helper.  Including setting up and wiping down all items.
- Maintain cordial customer relations and be respectful to all.
- Ensure all safety precautions are utilized all the time
- Ensure all damaged items are documented and photographed for filing claim
- Keep cleaning area free of debris and keep all cleaning/repair products in safe enclosure at the end of the work day.
- Bag all mattresses and put back into circulation after a thorough bed bug inspection has taken place
- Organize all areas of the warehouse according to management expectations
- Keep all TV’s and electronics storage in a locked room.
- Keep all areas of the warehouse clean and organized including the back lot/drive way
- Take trash out every night and put cans back in strategic places nightly
- Maintain all areas of the warehouse and ensure that all racking and placement of furniture is stored in a safe and organized manner.  
- Assemble and code all new furniture as requested
- Sweep up all debris nightly before leaving for the evening
- Safeguard and protect all company assets in his/her care
- Maintain a valid Driver’s license and auto liability insurance
- Understand and know verbally all the sku’s and names of furniture in our lineup 
- Maintain warehouse in an orderly and safe fashion.  Inform supervisor of any safety issues or anything that may be important to running a smooth operation

5.1.11 MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE:

Compensation: $17.00 per hour
